Essential Baking Co. -Wallingford Cafe.

www.essentialbaking.com
1604 North 34th Street. Seattle, WA
M-F 6a to 6p; Sat -Sun 7a to 6p.
Huge proveyor of uber-delish baked breads and such.. perfect with a cup! Environmentally responsible, supporter of community, Essential Bakery has been around since ...well a long time. Every visit is a sniff-fest from all the fresh breads.. cool. Oh, the cafe makes good coffee.. but huge pulls here for the bread products!

Kuma Coffee.
(206) 633-5862
www.KumaCoffee.com
4110 Stone Way North
Closed Sundays... odd hours so call first. Direct trade coffee since 2007. Kuma is in the heart of Wallingford, just up the hill from Lake Union. Fabulous pastries, oatmeal, donugts and more. Small place... quite cramped but that's what makes Kuma kinda like visiting a friend's apartment. a few glitches about cost, but most reviewers say go!

Cafe Lulu.

6417 Latona Ave Northeast Seattle, WA 98115
Teeeny-weeeny coffee shop but they make excellent coffee. Stop in here often! Just to the south of ole Greenlake, parking can be challenging, but I always seem to make it work. Some pastry and always a warm smile. Nice.

Revolutions Espresso.
(206) 527-1908

7012 Woodlawn Ave Northeast Seattle, WA 98115
Just one block away from that quirky 5-stop intersection by Greenlake (and across the street from Greg's Cycle shop) Revolutions Espresso has never dissapointed me. First known of these guys in 2004, nestled in the ground floor of a new apt building, they occupy a large space, cozy seating to study, or do some work. With little to no disractions and a great cup of espresso I can get stuff done - perfect.
